Brighton – Sussex by the Sea

We are quite fortunate with the weather at the moment, so I thought a day out to the seaside is well overdue, and a trip to the city of Brighton was just what I needed. It’s a vibrant, cosmopolitan city with always something happening, it’s also fairly busy especially at this time of the year. So I hopped on to a bus, as I don’t drive into the city now, it’s too damn expensive to park and public transport is easier.

I always head straight to the beach, usually, the West Pier is my first port of call as there is generally something of interest to photograph, and sure enough, there was.

Next to the i360 is the upside-down house, a new art installation on the seafront.

The sunny weather had obviously attracted sunbathers, although some were more adventurous than others.

Even the gulls were having a relaxing time, although as usual food was on their minds.

Further down the beach either someone had lost a shoe or they had been buried upside down, I didn’t pick it up to find out.

Also, I was glad to see everyone making use of the free seating i.e. the beach rather than paying for a deck chair.

The chairs on the pier though are free and lots of people were taking advantage of that.

Well, that was about it for today, just one last shot of the Palace Pier.
